Transfer from Sarlat to Periguex

Does anyone know the best way to get from Sarlat to Pergiuex on a Sunday morning? We have a train from Periguex at 12.10pm and unfortunately the trains from Sarlat to Periguex leave too late and won%26#39;t get us there in time. I have read from other posts that the buses are unreliable.

Does anyone know of a transfer company that we could contact?

I guess the other option is a taxi, but not sure if a taxi would do this route as it%26#39;s quite a way (89km)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would help to know your specific travel date as timetables vary It would also help to know where you were heading to from Périgueux. There may be better routes to your final destination.

On Sundays there is a train from Sarlat to Libourne departing at 07:29 arriving at 09:39 and on *most* (but not all) Sundays there is a train from Libourne to Périgueux departing at 10:59 arriving at 11:55. A very roundabout way to get there, but...

Thanks for your advice IrishRovr. The sunday we are looking at is 27 May and this is one of those Sundays where the Libourne to Périgueux train at 10:59 arriving at 11:55 does not operate. Will have to keep trying to source transfer companies...

I hate to disagree with you (actually in this case I don%26#39;t since this should be good news for you...) but according to both the SNCF (French rail) and Deutsche Bahn (German rail) sites, the 10:59 Libourne to Périgueux train DOES operate on Sunday, 27 May. (I mention the DB site simply because theirs is the most comprehensive database available online for European trains.) Where did you get the information that the train was NOT operating on this date?

You did not mention where you are heading to from Peerigueux. It is entirelty possible, as i said, that there is a better routing than the one you are currently working with.

Thanks IrishRovr the DB website was a big help and I now have a solution.
