Lyon for 1 day

Hello all

My honeymoon concludes with one day in Lyon on August 27th, just wondering if someone can recommend some activities/stuff to do in Lyon for the Day.

My Wife to be and I are quite active in terms of sports/outdoor activites, so if there are any outdoor activites that must be done while in Lyon let me know. (there wouldn;t happen to be any Cross COuntry mountain Biking would there??? I know it is a long shot)

Basically, what I would like to know is if you had one day in Lyon to do as much as possible what would you do?

I am afraid you won%26#39;t find any cross country montain biking in Lyon in august, you should go to the Alps to do that.

If you stay only one day, I suggest that you simply visit the city, you can have lots of sports activities doing that (because of the 2 hills and thanks to the parks) :

- climb up the stairs to the Croix-Rousse hill

- climb up the stairs to Fourvière, go along the Parc des Hauteurs and then down to the Saône) : nice walk !

- bike to the Ile Barbe on the Saône river or along the Rhône river

- go to the parc de la Tête d%26#39;or

And this is no particularly sports / outdoor, but as you will be on your honeymoon, enjoy a nice meal in one of the gastronomy restaurant in Lyon !
