It is our intention to visit Paris this year and I would like advice on a few things.
Firstly, flying in to the airport, what is the best way to proceed to your accommodation?
We thought we%26#39;d take the train to London after a few days. Does this sound like a good idea to the well travelled among you?
On returning to Paris I thought we%26#39;d hire a car and take a road trip through Burgundy and down to Nice. About how long should I allow for this do you think?
Then I thought we%26#39;d fly out from the South of France and stopover at Singapore.
Any advice is welcome. Neither of us has ever visited Europe before so really nubie advice is quite appropriate.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
The best way to get to town depends on the situation. We took the train in last year and then metro to the hotel. This is the cheaper option of course and more time consuming. The best way (depending on the traffic) is probably a taxi. How long are you planning on staying in Europe?

We took a taxi from CDG to our hotel. It was about 50 Euros but it was worth it. We didn%26#39;t have to carry our bags around trying to figure out the metro etc.
We spent 4 days in Paris then went to London for a day trip. You must spend at lease 2 days in London so you can enjoy it. We took the Eurostar over and it was a good trip. We did come back and spend another day in Paris. Look into hoping over to the UK! You are already in Europe might as well go over to London!
Have a great trip!

Thanks for your good advice.
We have not formulated an exact plan of the amount of time we shall have. I thought about 4 to 6 weeks altogether would be okay. I%26#39;d like a longer stay but we rely on good friends and family members to house sit and care for our pets so one mustn%26#39;t overdo the privelege. We could probably organise a shared dogsitter arrangement.
Do you have any preferences with regard to the best months to visit?
