I would say 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
I prefer somewhere between St Germaine Blvd and the Sienne or 5e, or even 6e. 1 and 3 tend to be more %26#39;commercial%26#39; but also very expensive. So it also depends on your budget, I think if you are no more than a 10 or 15 minute walk to the Louvre and the Notre Dame you are brilliantly positioned. However, even if you are further out, the metro is fabulous. I just loved to walk around that are between St Germain Bld and the river - eveyr inch of it - all the way from the area opposite Place de Concorde through to the Notre Dame. You can alos of course exlpore the right bank from Rue de Rivolli down past the Louvre , Jardin des Tulleres amd place de Concorde. That is the best advice I can give you to get the absolute most from Paris in that time. Enjoy!! I did and I can%26#39;t wait to go back. Walk everywhere you can, it worth it. Just take comfortable shoes. ONly take the metro when you are going far away.

I stayed at Hotel Des Carmes. Moderatley priced, nothing fancy but clean and newly renovated, lovely people and well positioned! It was fantastic. I don;t think its well known on the internet. Its only small. I had booked a place on the internet and when I got there it was terirble. I walked around and found Hotel Des Cames - I was so happy!
