I have been told to make suer we take the open trolley car tour that goes all around Montmartre and tells about its history. However, I can%26#39;t find a website for this or how to book it. If you are familiar with it, how does one get in touch with them and would you recommend it?

I don%26#39;t think is is the bus your friend has mentioned as it is not an %26quot;open trolley car%26quot; and does not have a commentaryu. If you buy a carnet of 10 metro tickets, it will cost you 1.09 Euros %26amp; you would have to read up on the places you pass by reference to the map.

This website suggests your friend means something called %26quot;Le Petit Train de Montmartre%26quot; at 5.50 Euros a full tour or 3.50 Euros a half tour

last time we were in Montmartre (last summer) there was a little train like an amusement park kiddy train that drove around montmartre (on tires of course) and I believe it had commentary -- not a trolley but a train with about half a dozen little open cars --
