I am currently here in Paris and am planning on taking in a show at Moulin Rouge tomorrow evening (yes, I know the popular opinion of the place on here..but nonetheless..)
My question is this: if I were to take a taxi back to my apartment in St Germain, how much should I expect to pay for this? And are they readily available after the show?
I think I may feel uncomfortable catching the Metro alone after the show.
Thanks in advance

Since you are now a seasoned Paris-traveler, you can easily manage to hop on the night bus, which runs right outside Moulin Rouge. Anyway the last metro leaves from the ending destination at 00:30 - so if you have booked for the late show, the metro is not an option. Taxi is too expensive - and may be difficult to get.
Go to www.ratp.fr - Plan des Lignes - Noctilien
Line N02 will take you directly back to St.Germain.

Ausboxer? How was it getting back from MR?? Did you venture on the metro?? I too, am travelling alone to Paris next Fall - and also would feel uncomfortable taking the metro at night. Thank you, Tre

Hi Ausboxer, was it a better experience than you thought it would be? I do hope you enjoyed it at MR. Who cares about other peoples opinions, we all get there our own way. As long as we just get there. Wherever there is.

Hi all - I did write a report about MR in my %26quot;real time trip report%26quot;!! - but yes, I enjoyed the show very much, and I am glad I can say I have been there and seen it..
After the show (I went to the 9pm show) - I simply watched to see how many people headed for the Metro and followed them.. I was among the first people out of the theatre and there were lots of people walking the same way so I went with the flow..
Turns out the trains were very full, so I felt totally comfortable the whole way back to St Germain.
And I must take this opportunity to praise the Metro again - I haven%26#39;t taken many trains this week (about 8 in total) - but I have never waited more than 2 minutes - even on the way to Versailles, and even at 11pm at night.. What a fantastic transport system!
