Short Cycling Tour

My husband and I will be traveling to France next month. He would like to get one day of intensive road cycling in while there. Is there a tour company or bicycle shop that you can recommend? We will initially be in Paris for 3-4 days and then traveling elsewhere in France so we are flexible.

Most of the organised rides we%26#39;ve come across involve several days holidays. However, we%26#39;ve also been investigating hiring bikes for the cyclists in the family, by googling the name of the town or department, plus %26#39;location%26#39; (rental) plus %26#39;velo route%26#39; or %26#39;haut de gamme%26#39; (top of the range). For Provence and the Ventoux, we found http://francebikerentals.com/ , and also www.cyclesetsports.com/chapitre17_en_1.html in le Bourg d%26#39;Oisans at the foot of l%26#39;Alpe d%26#39;Huez, but haven%26#39;t actually used either of them for rental (just bought the tee-shirt in le Bourg d%26#39;Oisans!). I%26#39;d guess you%26#39;re more likely to get a decent road bike near some of the classic climbs - renting leisure bikes in other areas, we%26#39;ve found mostly mountain bikes (VTT).
