Need a hotel near Port Canto

I wonder if you guys can help me :-)

I need to find a good hotel not too far from Port Canto for September, as I%26#39;ll be attending the Boat Show with my boss. So far the only one that I%26#39;ve been able to locate is the %26#39;Top Palace%26#39;, but my boss wants to choose from a selection.

Personally I%26#39;d like somewhere with some sort of fitness facility or pool but I can%26#39;t be picky as location is the main criteria.

Can you please help me? Thank you in adavnce.

Port Canto is at the east end of the Croisette and there aren%26#39;t that many hotels actually there. If you%26#39;re prepared to walk for 5 minutes or so you could stay at the Martinez- the nearest of the big hotels with leisure facilities etc. Otherwise there is a hotel called Hotel Californias (4 star) which is probably the closest with a pool.

Honestly though if you%26#39;re reasonably fit any of the hotels as far west as the Carlton or even the Hilton are pretty close by and it%26#39;s a nice walk along the beach

Check out the Cannes website -it has a list of hotels and an interactive map

www.cannes.fr

Then once you%26#39;ve seen the locations, try a website like

www.hotelscomparison.com to get an idea of prices - don%26#39;t know your boss%26#39; budget

Hope this helps.

HI

In addition to SOOOZ%26#39;s posting - one comment , surely part of the Boat Show is at the Vieux Port /Old Port end of Cannes , i.e. Quai Saint Pierre - but perhaps the things that you are interested in are at Port Canto ?

It was just a thought.

The Martinez Fitness facilities are fine but the area is not big at all.

They do have a small swimming pool and of course the sea and the Martinez Beach are just across the road /La Croisette .

The water in September is very pleasant.

You could perhaps find a hotel with a gym nearby .
