French women and foundation

French women don%26#39;t look heavily made-up. Do they wear foundation? If so, which one and where can you buy it? Thanks!

Even in the U.S., the idea is to wear makup that looks as if you are not wearing any. Last year, in the throes of packing I left my non-make up Lazlo at home. Having read about %26quot;By Terry,%26quot; I visited their shop at Passage Vero Dodot (sp?) and purchased a base that could be worn without powder. You really can%26#39;t see it though it evens out skin tones and hides a few of the lines. It feels wonderful and I purchased some to take back and have since found it at one location in NYC.

I would also assume that the department stores like Bon Marche would have lines that you could explore, ditto Sephora and some drug stores.
