We are staying in Kernascleden (Brittany)for 1 week in july and would like any suggestions on day trips. We have two children aged 10 %26amp; 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

you could try driving down to Carnac, famous for prehistoric sites including the standing stones and many dolmen.

http://www.carnac.fr/ - this site is in French, but still gives a good overview of the area you are in, and might help you to work out a few kid-friendly outings - even if you just use the pictures!
not far away there is also a ferry trip from Quiberon out to Belle Ile which the kids might like. There are bound to be some nice beaches along the southern coast of Brittany too.
