Holiday Inn property in Paris

Lucky me; going to Paris around Thanksgiving using miles and hotel points. I need to stay at a Holiday Inn and was hoping to hear of experiences and/or recommendations based on the location. I stayed 3 years ago at the LeGrand Intercontinental, which was lovely, but too many points requred for my stay this time.

I am leaning towards the HI in St. Germain Des Pres. Any recommendations or other choices?

Thanks!

The St Germain choice is the one I was going to mention, since you stayed on the Right Bank last time...

It%26#39;s been years since I last checked out the HOLIDAY INN SAINT GERMAIN (3-star) 92 rue Vaugirard (at rue de l%26#39; Abbé Gregoire, 75006, Metro: Saint Placide-- ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hotel/parsg…

but my recollection of the property was that it was a perfectly good, %26#39;..entry-level..%26#39; Parisian 3-star in the lower-6eme. I seem to recal being told that it was originally a YMCA that had been completely gutted and renovated as a hotel in the early %26#39;90%26#39;s...I had a H-I %26#39;connection%26#39; that could have gottren us a %26#39;..comped..%26#39; room...but then the SOB went and changed jobs...just for wheelbarrows full of money and a much better community to raise and educate his kids...the ingrate). The location is fine...situated about half way (within easy walking distances) between the more active neighborhoods of Saint Germain des Prés and Montparnasse....though probably more %26#39;Montparnasse%26#39; than %26#39;Saint Germain%26#39;. There will also be relatively several convenient Metro and bus ligne access and connections to %26#39;..everywhere else..%26#39; in Paris from here.
