From CDG airport , you must join Gare Montparnasse inside Paris ; it is easy and direct with Air France buses :

from Gare Montparnasse you have speedtrain (TGV) to Bordeaux

fares depends on the date and the time , between 60 and 80 euros .

enjoy your stay

There are about a half dozen direct high speed trains (TGV) from CDG to Bordeaux. No need to make the transfer to Montparnassse unless the times really do not work for you. Advance purchase discounted %26quot;PREMS%26quot; fares on either route are as low as 25€, youth fares between about 50€ and 60€.

To research timetables and fares go to voyages-sncf.com

To find timetables from CDG use Roissy as the name of the departure station. The SNCF (French rail) site interprets that as CDG. If you want to book online (and you probably should especially if you will be travelling at a busy time) read this %26quot;how to%26quot; guide by MorganB *before* you attempt to book your tickets: http://tinyurl.com/qpdef

The deeply discounted PREMS fares are non-refundable and cannot be changed. You might want to pay a higher fare and get a refundable ticket so that you can exchange it in case your flight is delayed. Whatever you do you need to allow ample time between your scheduled arrival and your train. I would suggest *at least* two hours if you are taking a TGV from CDG, and *at least* three hours if you are travelling from Montparnasse.

Good luck!

Why not traveling by plane ?

From Charles de Gaulle to Bordeaux, there are about 6 flights a day.

When you%26#39;ll be in Bordeaux, there a a shuttle bus (every 45mn to city center).

Of course, it is a little bit more expensive than train, but for a 15 years old (my daughter is 14), this would be my choise.

Check on Air France web site and try to travel from where you are with an %26quot;Sky-team alliance%26quot; company, so you won%26#39;t have to manage your luggages in CDG. It will automatically follow to Bordeaux.

Very often, on connecting flight, the cost of the internal flight within France is ridiculously low.
