Beauvais to Paris

Hi we are flying to Beauvais Airport arriving at 10.25pm from Venice and going straight to our hotel in Paris on a Wednesday night. Is the Beauvais-Paris shuttle, reliable especially at that time?

It will be late and we want to make sure we will get to our hotel in Paris safely.

Would appreciate some feedback from anyone who knows?

The shuttles are timed to the flights and won%26#39;t leave until about 30 minutes from once you land. There should be no problem in getting to Paris.

|||

You%26#39;ll be fine. I worried about stuff like that too, but when you get there, you%26#39;ll see that it is all run very efficiently. Those buses are the life lines for both the airport and the airline (ryan air), so they have to be reliable.

The bus will take you to Port Malliot (spelling?), and while it%26#39;s a little out of the main tourist part of the city, it is right on a metro line. So no problems there either.

Have fun!

Thank u for your helpful feedback. Will the shuttle take us straight to the hotel as they are charging 34euros pp for 2ppl %26amp; request hotel address when booking? It wld b convenient if straight to hotel. Also, is it a safe ride from the airport, what are the roads like?

Many thanx.

P.A.T. -

I hate to tell you this but I think there is something very odd going on here. I do not think there is a shuttle company in Paris that will bring you from BVA to your hotel for 17€ a person. Either they think you are arriving at CDG or Orly or there is something else strange here.

The %26quot;shuttle%26quot; that ptegan referred to is the regular bus that leaves BVA 20-30 minutes after each flight arrives at BVA and brings you to Porte Maillot on the western edge of Paris. the cost for this shuttle BUS is 13€ each.

I would be *VERY* wary about pre-paying any shuttle company that says they will meet you at BVA at that hour of night and transport you to Paris for 34€. In fact I would absolutely NOT recommend a shuttle (other than the BUS) for this trip at all. The chances of your being left stranded at BVA in the midle of the night with no way to get to Paris are IMO pretty high.

Thnk of it this way. BVA is 75 km north of Paris. The ordinary taxi fare is ~125€-150€. Do you think 34€ sounds like a likely fare for a shuttle to charge for two people?

My recommendation would be that you take the BUS to P.M. and a regular official Taxi Parisien from there to your hotel. The bus trip will probably take about an hour at that time of night, maybe a little less.

Thanx for feedback. It says 34euros per person if booking for 2 ppl. with Beauvais Shuttle. Not sure nw what is the best option.....

We got the shuttle site fr Beauvais Airport Shuttle Door to Door Connection %26amp; it says pick up fr BVA to hotel or vice versa for 34euros per person. Is that reliable, will we b stranded at BVA? Or, shld we forfeit the flight we booked %26amp; get another?

Anyone please?

I think the safest bet is the shuttle to Porte Maillot and taxi from there to the hotel. There have been previous posts that suggest the Beauvais to Hotel shuttles can be unreliable. Where is your hotel? The cost of the standard shuttle to Porte Maillot (26 Euros for two) plus taxi might not be that much higher than the shuttle price you have been quoted and you will not risk being stuck in Beauvais overnight, or face the approx 100 to 120 Euro taxi fare from there to Paris that I have seen quoted in the past,

OK, I missed the tiny %26quot;pp%26quot; in your earlier post. I thought you were paying 34€ for two people. In fact it is 68€.

Faux is right. take the regular bus to P.M. and a taxi to your hotel from there. If your hotel is anywhere central at all it should not cost more than ~20€ so you save a good chunk of money and you won%26#39;t run the risk of being stranded at BVA in the middle of the night. (It has happened to others who thought they had booked a shuutle from BVA to their hotel. The shuttle never showed.)

Ok many thanx for further update. Do we hv to book the bus shuttle to Port Maillot or is there one for every flight? If so, do we book on line? Will they wait for us %26amp; what if we miss it? Is it also 90mins drive to the city. We will b staying at Hotel La Demeure in 5th zipcode.

There are buses that pick up from every flight and there are always enough buses. Generally they leave 20-30 minutes after the flight arrives. No, you won%26#39;t miss the bus and you do not have to pre-purchase your tickets but you can if you want to.

The travel time from BVA to P.M. on the western edge of the city varies depending on traffic. At that time of night the trip will probbaly take closer to an hour than 90 minutes.
