Dear TA Paris experts

We are arriving on the 22 April Morning to begin our eight day vacation in Paris.

What train (train number) we should take

from Gare Ecole Militaire to Vanves market and Back?

from Gare Ecole Militaire to Versailles and back to Musee deLouvre?

from Gare Ecole Militaire to Gare Paris East ?

from Gare Ecole Militaire to Sacre couer church (montmatre)?

We will be using Carte Orange (monday to Sunday)

Thanks for your help.

Hello;

First off, Ecole Militaire is a metro stop on line 8. It is not a %26quot;gare%26quot;.

It would be good for you to download a metro/RER/Bus map from the Paris transit website.

www.ratp.info/orienter/cv/carteparis.php

With this map you can plan your route.

Since you are using a Carte Orange do use the buses also.

Looking at that map you can see that to get to Montmartre you can take Ecole Militaire/ line 8 to Concorde. Transfer(correspondance) to the 12 direction Porte de la Chapelle and get off at Abbesses.

For Versailles, Ecole Militaire to Invalides where you change to the RER and take a VICK train. Coming back if you are heading right to the Louvre, get off at Invalides and back on the 8 line towards Creteil, transfer at Concorde to the 1 line direction Chateau de Vincennes and get off at Palais Royale Musee du Louvre...

But do down load or check out the map of the metro/RER/Buses on the above website and I think it will answer your questions.

Also when you get to Paris pick up a map at the metro guichet where you buy your Carte Orange. I prefer the Number 2 map. loads of good info...

Remember also you need a picture for your Carte Orange. I find it best to photo copy passport photo or drivers license photo saving money on having to use the photo booths... but not having a photo can cost you 50 euro if you run into the metro police...

Enjoy.
