Making restaurant reservations

I would like to make advance reservations at several restaurants for our trip the first week in July.

While some of these establishments have websites to reserve on, others do not.

How, and at what point do I need to make reservations?

I would like to have the reservations in place before we leave for our trip. My French is very poor, so I am afraid to make a phone reservation.

The restaurants I am planning for our trip are: L%26#39;Epi Dupin, Astier, Au Bon Acceil, L%26#39;Ardois, Maceo, and Bofinger.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What works best for us is to send an e-mail to the hotel a few weeks before we depart and have them make the reservations for us. Depending on the quality of your hotel, the person who does this may be the same person who works the front desk, or there may be a stand alone concierge. In any event, please remember to tip whoever it was that asisted you.

Requesting reservations anywhere from a couple weeks to a month in advance should be fine for most places--starred places being the exception.

i agree with David%26amp;Kim opinion .; except in very starred restaurants like Maxims , La Tour d%26#39; Argent , etc .. it is not necessary , not even possible to reserve so long before .

The best is effectively to ask your hotel by mail before you leave to make reservations for you , but generally , it is enough to make reservations a few days or even the day before before , so you can ask your hotel when you arrive in Paris .

Thank you for your suggestions. This was just the information that I was searching for.
