Coin laundry in 5th area?

My boyfriend and I have rented an apartment in the 5th area on Rue Rollin so we%26#39;re close to Rue Mouffetard and Rue Monge. We%26#39;ll be staying there for 8 nights and are wondering if anyone of you know a good place nearby to do some coin laundry before we leave Paris.

Any names and address of such shops would be great, thanks for helping! :-)

Hello pb_van.... although I can%26#39;t help with the laundry question though I would be interested to find out! I would like to know what apartment/agency you have used for your stay in the 5th as I am in the process of deciding whether to go back to the Minerve Hotel (rue des ecoles) or perhaps rent an apartment for my 10 night stay in September? If you can give me some advice of where you are staying this would be most helpful to me.

Good luck with the laundrette question, I will watch closely for a response so as I can remember it for my stay!

Merci

Roniece

When we lived in that neighborhood, we used a laundrette on Place Monge if that%26#39;s any help.

Hi Roniece,

This actually will be my first time to Paris but before my boyfriend and I started planning, our minds were pretty much set on renting an apartment to %26quot;live%26quot; in Paris for a bit *lol*

So we visited some websites and IMO, i like this site the most in terms of apartment choices:

vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/…paris

Although there are tons of choices to look through, I think it%26#39;s worth the time and effort! We rented our apartment in 5e from this site too.

Other websites we visited were:

paristay.com/paris-vacation-apartment/paris-…

www.parisattitude.com/apartment-selection.asp

www.lodgis.com/en/paris/…

Hope you can find something you like, and for a good price too! :-) good luck

thank you gorgeous girl, I appreciate your response, this will help me a great deal, i will check them all out...

I know you will have the best time in Paris, this trip for me will be my third visit, I can%26#39;t wait to get back there and get lost so as I can practice my french %26#39;excuse me sir, I am lost, can you help me please?%26quot; of course I will say it in french but my french spelling is very limited at the moment! :)

Enjoy your visit and many thanks for your info

Hi Roneice

Unfortunately the flat I booked last October in the 5th through www.parisaddress.com is booked almost all September but it had a washer/dryer that I used every couple of days and did not need a laundromat (only a drycleaner). Look at that site and others for a flat with a washing machine and dryer - in France the one machine often serves as both but on the website they are shown as separate items.

Hi Roniece,

Sorry about the double posting but at least I spelled your name properly before the second click.

As a matter of interest the Citadines apartments group have a washing machine room etc and you operate the machines by coins. We have stayed in several Citadines apartments (Marais Bastille, Bastille Nation and Paris Austerlitz) and have been happy with them. We have also stayed in other cities in this chain and they are consistent. I would suggest to you that Paris lives on tourists so there would be %26quot;laveries%26quot; (laundromats) everywhere.

All the best, PottyaboutParis. Sydney Australia.
