Honeymoon Planning in the French Riviera

Hi,

I%26#39;m planning out my honeymoon for my fiancee and I, and I was wondering if you could help me with the itinerary. We are planning on staying in the French Riviera from July 20-25. We were thinking of staying at Palais de la Mediterranee in Nice (www.concorde-hotels.com/Fiche_Hotel.aspx…). Any thoughts on the hotel and its location?

We would like to visit Nice, Cannes, and St. Tropez, but we would love some advice on smaller charming towns on the Riviera. Also, if you have any suggestions on great restaurants, wineries, hiking paths, or other fun activities for couples, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Palais de la Mediterranee is a perfect (if expensive!) location. If you are up for a 250 euro plus a night accommodation the other choice would be go for the ultimate, its near neighbour the classic landmark Negresco, if thats still within your budget.

Nice is the travel hub so you are well positioned for trips by train to Monaco and Cannes, which should be top of your list. For a little more medieval charm bus to St Paul de Vence and the spectacular views from Eze Village.

Hiking paths? Take a walk up Mont Boron next to Elton Johns place and over and down the Escaliers de Verre to Villefranche (and get the bus back!)

For more local know-how I have written up a few more suggestions over on my VirtualTourist.com pages - go here, if you will
