Drinks/ Drinking in Cannes

Hello All,

I will be in Cannes in mid July for 5 nights, i am a little confused about drink prices, some say high, some say low, when i am out for the evening I enjoy to drink all night, will drinks cost me 20 euros each( Grey Goose on Ice)?

thanks

yup, pretty much! drink prices are quite high in most establishments. For example The Grand hotel charges 18 Euros for a mixed drink. Most nightclubs will be in that price range as well. Terraces and simpler places will cost you less than 10 euros.

Hey SK

I wondered the very same thing last year when I travelled to South of France! Yes, it%26#39;s an expensive place, but Cannes is actually pretty reasonable compared to places like Monte Carlo and St Tropez. During the day you can expect to pay €5 for a non-alcoholic drink and €10 for an alcoholic one in prime people-watching places like the cafes along La Croisette or the private beaches. If you%26#39;re heading out at night, you%26#39;ll probably pay something like €8 for a beer and €12 for a G%26amp;T. Imports tend to be insanely expensive so I%26#39;m not sure about Grey Goose.

Why not pick up a bottle in duty free flying out and have a home-made cocktail on your balcony before you go partying in the evenings; i will take the sting out of your bar tab. Try the outdoor club in the Palm Beach Casino and let me know how you get on.. ..have fun!

Bon voyage!

Susie
