I booked a flight to Paris from New York and since I didn%26#39;t want to fly redeye, I got a BA flight that leaves in the morning (7:50 AM).
I wanted to meet up my friend in London, so I got a flight that makes a stop in Heathrow.
The problem is there%26#39;s only one hour stop-over. My understanding is that I don%26#39;t have to go through immigrations, and the flight will be in the same terminal. But still I%26#39;m bit worried about the flight delay and any misfortune.
Has anyone flown from JFK to Paris stopping over in London? BA didn%26#39;t give me any other option to fly in later plane.
Can you share your experience?
Thanks in advance.

If you are just in transit to Paris (ie not going through immigration) how are you going to meet up with your friend? They won%26#39;t be allowed thru%26#39; to see you - or am I missing something here?

Valise,
My friend is also on-boarding to the flight to Paris. (from London that is).. He got the same leg as I did. We%26#39;re traveling to together, but it%26#39;s just that he%26#39;s boarding in London and I%26#39;m boarding in NYC. Sorry if I wasn%26#39;t too clear about that. :)
Thanks.

I would guess both flights are using Terminal 4 at Heathrow which is pretty easy to change at. You shouldn%26#39;t have to go through transit and the good news is that BA have been known to hold up connecting flights should you be a bit late.
As long as the incoming from JFK isn%26#39;t too late you%26#39;ll be fine.

unfortunately an hour between flights is risky. I was stuck at heathrow for 13 hours because of a missed connecting flight {plane left late from home] to rome. Did not make next flight because at heathrow we waited in very long lines to reach our connecting airlines and there was no way to get in a faster line regardless of your flight. time. if you can change it I would. sorry

mfprovence - Ordinarily, I would entirely agree with you about Heathrow. However, as it%26#39;s T4 this makes it a lot easier as long as there is no delay.
BA have a habit, good or bad, of delaying flights to wait for connecting passengers.
As long as J is BA all the way through, he should be fine

Thanks so much for the info!
Yes, it%26#39;s BA and both flights will be in the Terminal 4! I%26#39;m hoping there won%26#39;t be too much delay. Usually, I don%26#39;t even go for domestic one-hour connection flight, but BA was offering only that option for the morning flight.
Thanks for the assuring word!
I%26#39;m sure if there%26#39;s a major delay in JFK, that would be an issue, but I%26#39;ll keep my fingers crossed!!

Thanks, dicanio10!!!!
I do hope so as well. :)
It%26#39;ll be first time in Paris and both my friend and I are very excited about it!

Paris is a great place, I hope you%26#39;ll both love it. I%26#39;m off there myself on Wednesday morning on business.
One tip on the flight over from JFK, if you are running late speak to the stewardess and tell her you have a connection. She can get the pilot to radio through (Trust me, I found this out once!).
This would explain why BA have a not very good record on punctuality!
Enjoy Paris!

You%26#39;re too kind, dicanio. :)
Thanks again for your tip. We%26#39;re flying in mid-May and pretty much excited about it!
I%26#39;ll make sure to inform the flight attendant if that ever happens.
Have a pleasant trip!
-J.
