Saint-Vincent-Sur-Graon, Vendee

Hello can you help?

My wife and I are staying in Saint-Vincent-Sur-Graon (sounds like a very small village nothing that I can find on the web) for a fortnight in June 2006.

Can you sugest nice places for a meal and a drink in the area.

Any places of interest not to be missed.

We are sailing into St. Malo on the overnight and on the way back staying in the Hotel France et Chateaubriand (Hope they sell good steak%26#39;s, joke.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Will give feedback on the area on our return.

May I say that the people that we are renting from are very nice and have offered to give us advice but we do not like to bother them. Also there is a book priced at £9.95 called The Vendee by Angela Bird that gives details on the area.

If you don%26#39;t have a copy of %26#39;The Vendee and Surrounding Area%26#39; by Angela Bird, ISBN 0-9545803-0-3 I suggest you get one.

We have had two self-catering holidays in the Vendee and found this book invaluable. She has lived there for many years and covers nearly all the sights.

I also suggest you get a copy of IGN map 85, Vendee which is a scale of 1:125 000, larger than the Michelin maps. You can get this at any book shop. It makes navigation much easier.
