Hotel de l'Abbaye or Hotel Elysees Regencia

I recieved rates on both and believe it or not, there is very little difference in price. My wife and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary and trying to figure out which one to choose is rough.

I know that the Abbaye is in the 6th and that the Hotel Elysees Regencia which is rated #1 now by tripadvisor is in a very congested area. We live in Chicago and my quess that it would be like on Michigan Ave. A few months ago the Abbaye was rated much higher and has slipped a bit. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. This will be our first time in Paris, arriving on May 31st.

I only know the Abbaye of the two. It ooooooozes romance. Great location, charming hotel, beautiful courtyard....I think it would be perfect for an anniversary trip.

We%26#39;re planning to stay at the Regencia in May (for our 3rd Anniversary. Can%26#39;t wait to hit our 30th! Congrats!) and we are very excited. We%26#39;ve watched it move up from 5th to 1st place in the Tripadvisor rankings and I look forward to all new reviews. We splurged on the suite and I can%26#39;t wait to soak in that tub!

If you read the many reviews on TA, they say the place is surprisingly quiet and the street isn%26#39;t as busy as you would expect. Unfortunately, it will be a month before I can personally assure you of that.

I really can%26#39;t add anything that the other glowing reviews haven%26#39;t already said. I%26#39;m trusting that there is a reason it is ranked #1. :-)
