Honeymoon in Paris

My fiance and i have decided to spend 8 nights in Paris and 3 nights in Amsterdam for our honeymoonin April %26#39;08. The planning has started and I would appreciate any advice you can offer.

Can someone recommend a great hotel in Paris, romantic and in a great location. Not too pricey like the four seasons but not cheap of course. We want to do this right for our honeymoon.

Romantic restaurants we shouldnt miss and maybe a few less expensive for the other nights?

Day trips we shouldnt miss?

Is it possible to make a reservation at museums like in Italy so you dont have to wait in line?

How do you make a reservation to eat at the top of the Eiffel Tower?

And anything about Amsterdam would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

More helpful if you post an actual hotel budget. People always come on these boards and don%26#39;t clarify their actual budget, and when posters reply it can be way off mark. A budget choice for some is under 100 euros, but for others it may mean under 300 hundred.. so you can see it is hard to narrow down suggestions.

To give a budget, i really dont want to spend more than $250/$300 tops a night.

Have you considered renting an apartment for the week in Paris? If yuhave been to Paris before, you may not need the comfort/security of a hotel - I would recommend %26quot;parisperfect.com%26quot; for apartments, charming, well furnished, tres romantique.

I Amsterdam, I have only stayed at Hotel Ambassade, but it was nice, on a canal, relatively quiet, close to Dam Square.

Both locations within your budget. Lots of other recommendations on these pages.

Request a view room at the Hotel Brighton, very nice and excellant price for the area and views. The rooms are nice, but not luxurious, they do say %26quot; french%26quot; though, so very romantic. The view rooms all have little balconys with killer views, and at night you can see the Eiffel Tower as it %26quot;sparkles%26quot; on the hour, priceless. I would take one breadfast downstairs becuase I liked the breakfast room with its colums and it is nice and sunny. Breakfast is pricey , so I wouldn%26#39;t bother doing that everyday for a rather basic buffet, but once would be nice.

It is on this site under Paris Hotels just search it in the reveiws.

BEFORE you rent an apartment make sure your new wife will not resent the asumption that she will cook and make a bed each day on her honeymoon.

..re Hotel Duc de Saint Simon...charming and in a great location. Apartments can be great, but I am not sure I would want to stay in one on my honeymoon..in fact, I am sure I would not..This might be the one time in my marriage when I do not have to think about making the bed, shopping, or getting a meal.
