My husband and I need help in creating our itin for our 12 days in France. So far, we%26#39;re planning 4 nights in Paris, then taking TGV to South with 4 nights in Nice and 3 nights in Marsailles and back to Paris. Any suggestions on whether we should spend more or fewer days in certain places and what days trips are musts? We appreciate all the advice everyone has given us so far!! Thanks all!

Unless you can give us some idea what it is you want to see and do there is really not a lot of good advice we can give you. Other than telling you I think you would *probably* be well advised to spend a couple more nights in Paris I really can%26#39;t give you any more answers — and that one might be wrong.
What was it you wanted to do and see on your 7 nights outside Paris? Or your three plus days IN Paris? Why did you choose Nice and Marseilles? Have you looked at any guidebooks for France? Paris? Provence? The Côte d%26#39;Azur?
Do you want to rent a car? Or specifically NOT rent a car?
What are your specific interests? Art? History? Beaches? Architecture? Scenery? Vineyards? Something else entirely?
When will you be travelling?
You really need to do some of the gruntwork yourselves AND give us a few clues about you to work with...

If you haven%26#39;t booked your flights yet, try to book a Multi City ticket through Air France, you can fly back out from Nice instead of back tracking to Paris.
I agree with the other person, a bit more info of what your looking for would be helpful with getting ideas for your itinerary.
