best method of transport from Port Maillot to Champs Elysee

Elderly parents of a friend are staying in the Champs Elysee area.

I was in Paris in Feb and from what we could see, it looked like Port Maillot was at the other side of the Arc de Triomphe / Champs Elysee.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case / advise if they would be better and reasonably cheap taking a taxi to their accomodation rather than going to the hassle of getting the Metro.

Thanks

Porte Maillot is locates approx. 1 km west of Arc de Triomphe and the head of Ave. des Chanps Élysées (end of Chmps at Place de la Concorde--approx. 3 km). They can take the #1 Metro ligne from the PORTE MAILLOT Metro (heading in the direction of La Chateau Vincennes) to several Metro stations along Champs Élysées (Charles de Gaulle-Étoile, George V, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Champs-Elysées - Clemenceau, Concorde).

But if they are arriving at Port Maillot via Beauvais Shuttle...then they will be just as well served by taking a Taxi Parisian from the regular taxi stand near the BVA shuttle frop-off point to their hotel.7-10 € to most locations along Champs Élysées.
