We will be arriving on a cruise ship in Cannes on a Sunday in September. We will be there from 8:00 until 20:00. Would it be fairly easy for us to visit Nice (old town), Eze, and Monte Carlo in this amount of time by using public transportation (on a Sunday)? We prefer to tour %26quot;on our own%26quot; rather than do an organized tour. Any info/advice is welcome. Thank you.

Too ambitious in my view - by train to Nice yes, and Montecarlo/Monaco at a pinch, then returrn by train to Cannes .Eze will use more time than it is probably worth due to infrequent bus connections.

Cannes is such a lovely place that it seems such a shame not to see it while you are here! I think you%26#39;re trying to pack too much in. I have been to all of these places and if I were you, I would stay put for the day. Have a coffee on La Croisette, stroll the old town, look at the boats and hang out on the beach for a while.. soak up some atmosphere and just enjoy being there.
