What's going on June 30th weekend?

We%26#39;re planning our France vacation and our itinerary has us visiting Lyon from June 30th to July 3rd... But, all the hotels we%26#39;ve been looking at are booked that weekend.

Is there a big event in the city? I tried doing some searching online but couldn%26#39;t find any info about those dates...

Yes Andrew, it is a very busy weekend, with this Annual Meeting of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryologie Dvorig mentionned, and also a music festival %26quot;les nuits de Fourvière%26quot; (Patti Smith is performing on June 29th, Philip Glass on July 1st, Laurie Anderson on 2nd and Lou Reed on 3rd !).

Any luck with a hotel? July 3-5th, we need two rooms and I can not seem to find any available. I was wondering if you had any luck? I was hoping to stay somewhere nice as the 3rd is my 25th anniversary! We were arriving by train. Let me know if you have any ideas.
