Seine river tour-any recommendations????

Hi All,

I have read about Beateaux-Mouchese Cruises which are about 75 mins. Has anyone used them before? Can anyone recommend any other river cruises tour guides????

All assistance greatly appreciated

hello;

There was a discussion here on the cruiss just yesterday.

Three companies were mentioned

Bateaux Mouches located at Pont de lÁlma

Bateaux Parisiennes located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower

Vedettes du Pont Neuf located at the down stream end of Ile de la Cite

Bateaux Mouches has the lagest boats, can be crowded and the tour commentary is canned.

Bateaux Parisiennes boat are smaller, more inimate. I%26#39;ve been on them when they had recorded commentary and when a real person gave the tour.

Vedettes du Pont Neuf smaller boats than Bateaux Mouches and was said to have real person commentary...

All take you up and down the Seine, but the general feeling semed to be that Bateaux Parisiennes and Vedettes du Pont Neuf had it over Bateaux Mouches with more people coming down on the side of Vedettes du Pont Neuf...

Thank you so much Craigmore,

I have back tracked through the postings and found the one you were referring to. It has answered all my questions.

Will prepurchase the Vendettes du pont neuf-a great saving!

We just took the Vedette de Pont Neuf tour on Tuesday, April 3. It was really enjoyable and the commentary was informative but not overwhelming or annoying. It was a real person, not a recording. You can sit on top (which is not covered) for the best view, or sit down below if it is too windy or chilly. We sat up top and had a great view of all the sites. It was a one hour tour. You can print a discount ticket off the internet and present it at the ticket counter when you arrive. Hope that helps.

For the vedettes du pon neuf coupon, does this mean you don%26#39;t have to wait in line? Or do you wait in line and then present the ticket? Are there lines? Ack!
