Biarritz Surf Festival

My tandem partner and I will be surfing in the BSF and we%26#39;re looking for comfortable, but affordable accommodations. We%26#39;ll be in Biarritz for at least 1.5 - 2 weeks and hotels can get pricey.

Does anyone have an opinion on staying at a B%26amp;B v. a hotel? Any recommendations? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

There are several great B%26amp;B%26#39;s in Biarritz, but one that I would suggest is the Irigoian (http://www.irigoian.com/en/) a small B%26amp;B which is in the village of Bidart, a beach community just south of Biarritz. We met the owner a couple of years ago and where impressed. He speaks English, which may be a help to you if you don%26#39;t speak French, Basque or Spanish.

There are also a number of small hotels and B%26amp;B%26#39;s in Biarritz, put this one would probably be the least expensive since the surf festival in being held during the high season.

I hope this helps. If you need any more information on Biarritz, the you can check out the following web site:
